David Williams
David Williams was originally known for being a top-ranked Magic The Gathering player, before bursting on the poker scene to finish runner-up to Greg Raymer in the 2004 WSOP, the year after Chris Moneymaker helped initiate the poker boom.
David was no novice, however, having played poker regularly since 1997. Despite missing the bracelet in 2004, he earned an impressive payday of $3.5 million.
Since that time he's been no slouch either, making multiple final tables and winning many events. His career earnings are now approaching $6 million, proving he's here to stay.
